When she graduated in 1992 Amanda Bossard began her studies in marine biology in Anchorage from Alaska Pacific University. Bossard started her career in the commercial seafood industry in 1999 when she began working aboard the F/V Sunset 65' halibut-schooner, which has become a to salmon tender with Murat Aritan, a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard, who is engaged to Aritan she has joined teams to take over their industries. Both of them are in favour of conserving resources as well as maximising profit.
